Epsilon Theta Corporation, Inc ("we", "the Corporation",
"Epsilon Theta") care about our members' privacy and have
incorporated that concern into the design of this website,
epsilon-theta.org. This privacy policy lays out how we
endeavour to honor the privacy of our alumni.
This website contains various types of information about
our alumni, including but not limited to:
- Contact information
- Photographs
- Alumni news updates
- Information on offices held
- A variety of documents where alumni may be mentioned (meeting minutes, stories, etc)
Please note that "alumni" is used in this document to refer to alumni, actives, depledges, and
others who have an association with Epsilon Theta and are included in our database.
Privacy Features and Policies
The following privacy features and policies are in place for this website.
- Access to most information is restricted to those who have registered for this
website. Registration is restricted to people who have an existing relationship
with Epsilon Theta who are in our database. We must already have an email address
in the database for someone to register.
- Users may further restrict access to their contact information (see below).
- This website does not track user activity beyond standard webserver logging.
- This website does not use scripts, images, or other tools
linked to third-party websites that may enable third-pary websites to
track user activity on this website.
- This website uses HTTP cookies to keep track of a user's session (i.e., to keep
the user logged in). Other functional uses of cookies may be added in the future.
- This website will not use third-party cookies nor use cookies for tracking users or
uses beyond functional use of the website.
- This website may have links to other websites with different privacy policies.
- Epsilon Theta does not share contact information with third-parties, except where
necessary to perform specific actions for the Corporation (e.g., providing a list
of addresses to our printer for sending newsletter).
- Epsilon Theta does not share contact information with MIT.
Limiting Scope of Contact Information
If you do not want all alumni to be able to view your contact
information, please go to your profile, edit your database
record, and set the "hide contact info?" button to "Hide".
This will hide your address, phone number(s), and email address(es)
from everyone except for those with ACO privileges who require that
information for mailings.
Terms of Use for Site Information
All information on this website (including, but not limited to
the list of information included in the introduction of this
document) is intended for use by the Corporation and its alumni for
purposes of communication, documenting shared history, and other
similar non-commercial uses.
Use of this information for purposes other than the allowed purposes
is strictly prohibited.
